Congratulations to Debora Heisler-Jarvis on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award. Jarvis was nominated by Lisa Chase for going above and beyond every day, arriving early and staying late to support students. She is kind, nurturing, and always ready to help out! She understands the needs of her students and readily adapts instruction and support as necessary. Her calm and caring manner helps her build relationships with both students and staff. What an asset she is to the district!
Congratulations to Virginia Kukaj on being a recipient of the BOE's Cougar Pride Award. Kukaj was nominated by Robin Lyle for going above and beyond to give 31 students an experience of a lifetime by bringing the French Trip back from the dead. Just 2 years into her role, she promised these kids she would take them to France and she delivered in spades. They went to Amsterdam, Belgium and Paris. These kids connected and formed bonds with each other while learning about different cultures. This trip took immense coordination and planning and she spent countless hours outside of school to make this happen. Mrs. Kukaj is beloved by her students and we are so proud of how she has connected with them and has contributed to this district.
